Product Description
The Unicender climbing tool is a combination ascender/descender. What makes it a break through is the fact that it can ascend and descend on single rope SRT AND ascend and descend on doubled rope DdRT. That coupled with two modes of descent make the Unicender truly a new generation of climbing tool. The Unicender gives you unparalleled performance on rope. The Unicender gives you options so you can tailor your climbing system to the climb. You can use the efficiency of SRT for those 100ft climbs or the auto advance feature of DdRT for those big limb walks. Easy control mode of descent for those long descents when you want to "bomb down" or the advanced mode of descent for positioning adjustments or limb walks. Harness the versatile features of the Unicender to become more efficient, safe and productive.Note: A new Unicender slips on the rope at 1200 lbs, and less as it wears. This is a safety feature for the tool and the user. When exposed to a shock load such as a fall, the Unicender slips before it breaks. This slip also limits the shock to the user. The Unicender is not a fall arrest tool, and should be retired after a hard fall. The Unicender climbing tools ultimate breaking strength is 7,000 lbs. That is 2,000 lbs more than the industry standard.FeaturesAbility to ascend and descend using one tool.Ability to climb on both double rope technique and single rope technique.Automatic advance when used with double rope technique. Two descent modes.Easy to attach midline.Smooth clamping surfaces.BenefitsSafety - no need to switch between ascender and descenders tools.Time saving - seamless transitions from ascending to descending.Simplicity - less gear to carry.Versatility - allows you to capitalize on the strengths of both climbing techniques.Efficiency - all energy goes to climbing.User friendly - allows you to select preferred descent mode.Speed - faster than tying a prussic.Value - long useful life.Gentle on the climb line - longer climb line life.
