Product Description
Man's best friend may be a dog, but Spunky can't belay you without opposable thumbs (and other necessary brain functions). Rock or ice, the best climbing companion for you is the Mammut Smart Alpine Belay Device. This alpine belay device offers similarly awarded qualities as its brother, the Smart, such as the superior braking in unexpected falls and the ability to lock even if there is slight user exertion. Versatility is its game due to compatibility with double, half or single ropes allowing you to pick your poison of alpine or ice climbing. If you want to bring some buddies, the added fixed loop with autolocking mode lets you independently belay a second or third climber.
